What was your first job?

imkevin: Lifeguard, Overland Park public pools, Overland Park, Kansas, 1997.

1996…I worked the prize counter at SKATEWORLD. I became somewhat of a pro at the neon hand clapper. Spent most of my hours with my elbows on the glass counter, head in my hands, watching ‘green light go’ and ‘couple skates’…wondering if my time to glide hand-in-hand under the disco ball would ever come. It didn’t.
