Sunday.
I took some promotional photos for this magical musical duo, Lauren Zettler and Cameron Mizell. We shot in the Sky Room of the New Museum on Bowery. Really, really cool space.
We had a great time, and I am loving shooting musicians. I hope to do lots more of it. Especially with these two.
A few more of Lauren & Cam to follow.

Congratulations to all of you runners!
You inspire me.
Not to run a marathon, or to even attempt to run, ever. You inspire me in a more general way. Like, “wow, you are inspiring.” So, thanks!
My roommate (and bestie) Monika ran her very first marathon today!
She hoped to not only finish, but to come in under 4 hours. She crossed the finish line at 3:57:47.
I am SO proud of her.
I’d now like to acknowledge all of those 6:30am mornings where I snoozed in a cocoon of warm covers while she headed out for her run. She is a better woman than I.
Sweet baby jesus, I’m 32, today!
Another birthday, another self-portrait.
Another year, another series of strange and unpredictable events.
Another year of surprising yet inevitable betrayals.
Another year of strange and wonderful trips to foreign lands (vegas).
Another year of taking pictures of excellent people.
Another year of eating Roscoes & El Cholo far too much (not enough).
And look at that, I use digital, now. That there? Crazy.
Gonna be a good three days of celebrating, eating tasty things and surrounding myself with the folks I care about.
And so, I’d just like to thank you all for looking at my photos and writing nice things.
I’d also like to thank the people who wrote not so nice things.
A hearty Thank You to all the people who were kind enough to let me take their picture.
To the people I did wrong: oops.
To the people who wronged me: I have not forgotten. Forgiveness is not on the menu. So run far and run fast.
That all said, next time you eat a pumpkin-flavored foodstuff, think of me.
Next year: lasers.

A VERY happy birthday to Lou!
Hoping for another round o’ chicken n’ waffles with you one day, Lou. And maybe a few pictures.
