Today’s selection for Tumblr Recommend Tuesday is…Mr. Kevin Burg!
Kevin and I go WAY back to the hallways of Shawnee Mission South High School in Overland Park, KS. Even back then he was a pretty cool guy, albeit a little quiet. But so was I. He was the star of the swim team (speedo and everything!)…doubt he publicizes that. You’re welcome, Kevin.
And now he’s a badass designer here in New York.
He designed my tumblr theme two years ago. I love it so much I might just keep it forever. He’s done countless others, too…you should check them out. Maybe pick one out for yourself.
I like hanging around Kevin, and keeping up with him online. Always amazed at what he’s coming up with.
So on this here Tuesday, you should consider following/recommending Kevin.
Okay, I’m a little calmer now. Thanks to the leftover Vicodin from my root canal.
So what happened was that I was waiting to cross the street at Prince and Greene, on my way to a birthday party. I had just said goodbye to my parents and had my phone in my right hand. Dude came up behind me and knocked it out of my hand, sending it into the middle of the street. But right at that moment a big SUV was driving by, so he had to stop. I grabbed the back of his black t-shirt and yanked as hard as I could, choking him pretty good. Pretty sure I yelled something like “Motherfucker, you better not do this.”
But then I wisened up, realized he could hurt me, and let go. He grabbed the phone and ran off as I yelled words not appropriate for this blog.
I wish someone had been around to help me. But maybe they couldn’t have caught him. Pretty sure he used to be an all-state track star. Or just good at what he does.
Oh well. I’m hoping I can get my old iPhone re-activated tomorrow to get me through these next two weeks.
Just a shame for this to happen now, when I’ve really been enjoying the hell out of New York. It’s a sad way to go.
