update
…in case you were wondering.
Feeling MUCH better today. Those 24 hour stomach viruses really do just last 24 hours. So I am finally on my way to Chicago this morning (a day late and a dollar short). Seriously, the hospital took all my dollars.
I hope you all have a lovely New Years Eve tonight.
Okay, Detroit Rock City...
Let’s give this yet another try. I will not give up!
I will be in Detroit (Grosse Pointe) from the 24th-30th and 2-4th. I am determined to meet a Detroit tumblr. Pleaaaaase. Come on. Let’s have a drinkie drink.

A Good Man
In New York, we all tend to mind our own business, politely, as far as neighbors are concerned. For example, I never complain when the male lovers upstairs keep me up all night. I humor the former crack addict, Anthony, from the 2nd floor with his “I’m taking this to the landlord!” crusades. And I smile genuinely each and every time I see the cute Puerto Rican mother and daughter...
Bring it on.
Write a post on your blog telling your readers SEVEN things about yourself they are not very likely to know (through the blog specifically or people in general might not know) about you!

1. I am scared of the dark, especially outdoors.
2. I check my passports once a week, just to make sure they haven’t gone missing.
3. I usually fall asleep with my arms...

BRAVO…you give me what I need. Notting Hill immediately followed by a showing of, wait for it…Notting Hill!
Sometimes I wish this were a secret blog. That I could be openly candid, all of the time. That if I were pissed off, disappointed, confused, I could say so, without someone coming to me and asking why (I suppose that’s what friends are for, really). But that’s ok. I wouldn’t really want it any other way. I just have my moments.
Truth be told, right now, I am a little bit sad.
I am sick. I have an illness called the common...
One of my many shortcomings is that I am a terrible patient. I complain and alienate those around me.
If I had a butler, or a boyfriend, I would ask them to run out and pick me up the following:
ready-to-eat, baked lasagna
barbeque chips
mashed potatoes and gravy
gingerale
twizzler bits, you know, those small little ones
a hot water bottle
toothpaste
tissues
a warm embrace
But I have no...

Thanks Tumblr, for the heads up. Just ordered this. Not sure why I never caught on to watching this show, considering my unhealthy obsession for Michael Cera. Looking forward to checking it out.

Patagonia
This is the post I have been waiting to make. The highlight of my trip was our visit to Patagonia, home of the Perito Moreno glacier in Los Glaciares National Park.
The nearest town is El Calafate, where we did a lot of this.
Meet Perito Moreno, the 3rd largest glacier in the world.
It made me feel like this…
As if merely seeing it wasn’t enough, we went climbing around on...
Buenos Aires, Argentina
The moment we stepped off the plane, Pia and I turned to each other and said “We could live here.” It was familiar, yet new. Exciting and fun, but slow and relaxed. We made new friends, ate tremendous meals, drank bottles and bottles of wine.
This is how Buenos Aires greeted us…
We cheered on Boca as they beat Racing.
And took in some tango.
We made great new friends...
